Eve:
Red health and Whore of Babylon

Learn Eve's low-red-health threshold, healing timing and Birthright, while separating Dead Bird from the damage state.

Understand the system

Read the red hearts separately from the buffer.

Low red health activates the state

Eve starts with Whore of Babylon and Dead Bird. Her Whore of Babylon threshold is one full Red Heart or less, counting filled red health rather than Soul or Black Hearts. The active state improves damage and speed and removes her usual reduced damage multiplier.

Healing changes the next room

After healing above the threshold, an already active Whore of Babylon state lasts for the rest of the current room. Without Birthright, it stops in the next room if red health is still too high. Check the actual health and state before a fight.

Dead Bird has a different trigger

In this Repentance version, taking damage summons Dead Bird for the room. Low red health alone does not provide the Repentance+ bird behavior. Optional Birthright keeps both starting effects active regardless of health or damage.

Whore of Babylon and Dead Bird are starting passives. Birthright is optional. Heart icons show red health and a protective buffer, not clot creation. Razor Blade is a separate donation-gated starting unlock.

What changes after this action?

These are fixed teaching examples with stated conditions. Choose an action and compare what you have before and after it.

Eve

Enter a room with one full Red Heart

Before

Eve; 1 full Red Heart and 2 Soul Hearts; starting passives present; no Birthright

After

Whore of Babylon active; Soul Heart reserve unchanged

The Soul Hearts do not push filled red health above Eve's threshold. This does not by itself summon Dead Bird in Repentance.

Check before acting: Check both the red-health threshold and the protective buffer.

Whore of Babylon and Dead Bird are starting passives. Birthright is optional. Heart icons show red health and a protective buffer, not clot creation. Razor Blade is a separate donation-gated starting unlock.

This reference does not read your save, calculate a crafting recipe or simulate an arbitrary inventory, health bar, queue or combat state.

Before the next action

  1. Check filled red health separately from protective Soul or Black Hearts. Build a useful buffer when available instead of confusing low red health with a full health bar.
  2. Before healing, compare survival needs with the next-room state. Keep useful healing in mind even when it changes the damage bonus.
  3. Use the actual effects in the build. Do not take a needless hit simply to summon the bird, and do not assume Birthright is present without collecting it.
