A pedestal is an offered item
D6 and Perthro change uncollected room items. Picking one up turns the decision into a different problem: changing the build you now hold.

Repentance reroll guide
One tool changes an item on the floor. Another changes your whole build. Check the target, scope and risk before spending the next charge.
Choose the right scope
Choose the resource and tool. For D infinity, select the face shown in your game. These are normal Repentance effects; your room, items and unlocks still matter.
The D6
Scope: Uncollected pedestals in this room.
Replaces room pedestals with random items selected through the current room's pool rules.
Before using it: Check everything inside the stated scope before activating. Replacing an unwanted reward does not guarantee a stronger result.
Does not reroll your held build, ground hearts or coins. Fixed-drop and item-effect exceptions can alter the usual room pool.

D20 changes room pickups and chests. Dice Shard combines that effect with a pedestal reroll, so gather supplies you want to preserve first.
D4 and D100 can replace passive items. Compare the cost of losing your current synergies with the hoped-for improvement.
Fourteen tools, different jobs
A die's number is its name, not a promise of a stronger item. D1, D7 and D10 provide different effects from ordinary item rerolls.
| Tool | Scope | Effect and decision |
|---|---|---|
| Uncollected pedestals in this room | Replaces room pedestals with random items selected through the current room's pool rules. Does not reroll your held build, ground hearts or coins. Fixed-drop and item-effect exceptions can alter the usual room pool. | |
| Uncollected pedestals in this room | Rerolls room pedestals, with a 25% chance per pedestal to delete it instead in Repentance. Luck does not reduce that deletion risk. Repentance+ can have different numbers; do not mix versions. | |
| Uncollected pedestals in this room | A consumable use of the D6 effect: rerolls room item pedestals. It is spent when used. Ground coins, hearts and chests are not its target. | |
| Pedestals and ground pickups in this room | Applies D6 and D20 effects together, changing room pedestals and loose pickups or chests. Collect supplies you want to keep first. The pickup reroll is part of the same activation. | |
| Uncollected pedestals in this room | Steps each item's internal ID downward until it reaches a valid result, skipping hidden and locked items. An ID path can produce an item outside the usual room pool. Your unlocks matter; this is not a random D6 roll. | |
| Ground pickups and chests in this room | Rerolls room pickups and chests into other pickups or chests. Does not reroll collectible pedestals or your passive build. Pick up needed supplies before changing them. | |
| One randomly selected pickup in this room | Adds a pickup of the same general type as the chosen pickup, but the variant can differ. The original remains. A copied heart need not be the same heart variant, and Jera cannot be duplicated. | |
| Held passive items | Replaces passive items using the pools they were acquired from. This spends the build you already have. It is not a way to reroll a single unwanted pedestal. | |
| Damage, tears, range and speed multipliers | Assigns new multipliers to those four stats rather than replacing your collected items. Some results can be lower. An improved stat is not guaranteed. | |
| Room obstacles | Changes rocks and other obstacles into different floor objects. New objects can be hazardous. This changes obstacles, not your build or the room's item pedestal. | |
| Room monsters with supported paths | Devolves monsters along their specific paths into weaker forms in the latest Repentance version. This is an enemy effect, not an item reroll. Older versions described a different random-enemy behavior. | |
| An eligible previously cleared ordinary room | Restarts the room's enemies so another clear can provide a reward. Does not work in Greed mode, boss or deal rooms, or rooms that had no enemies. Respawned champions do not drop their special pickups. | |
| Your build and several room resources | Combines D1, D4, D6, D7, D8, D10, D12 and D20 effects, subject to each effect's restrictions. A much broader gamble than D6. Your passive build, stats and room resources can all change together. | |
| The selected die face | Acts as a selectable die. Cycle the face with the drop control and check its HUD icon before use. Spindown is not an available face. Charge behavior depends on the die used; the helper compares effects, not your live charge bar. |
Where the replacement comes from
Ordinary pedestal rerolls use room and item-effect context. A chest's original pool does not necessarily remain its reroll pool. Inventory rerolls such as D4 instead use the pools the passive items were acquired from. Spindown follows a separate ID path.
An ordinary D6 use on a Treasure Room pedestal draws through Treasure pool rules.
Browse the listed poolChanging a shop item does not make it free. Review the replacement and its displayed price.
Browse the listed poolAn Angel-room reroll can change the options, but does not turn a shared choice into permission to take everything.
Browse the listed poolAn eligible pedestal rerolled here normally uses Secret pool rules, even if the original reward came from a different source.
Browse the listed poolPool entries can have different weights. Generating or collecting items changes availability according to that pool's rules. A site's membership count is not the chance of finding each entry, and repeated rerolls do not sample an untouched list forever.
Chaos chooses from random pools for affected item generation. Some fixed drops remain fixed, and Normal/Hard pools stay separate from Greed pools. It does not mean every item has the same chance.
Check Chaos exceptionsBoss-specific rewards and Satanic Bible can alter the expected boss pool. A reroll also does not erase a deal's cost or your purchase history. Read Devil and Angel deal rules.
A different kind of reroll
These ordinary one-step examples use the supplied Repentance item IDs. They show why Spindown can cross pool boundaries. Locked or hidden results are skipped, so do not assume every item simply becomes ID minus one on every save.
The three target items are normal, non-hidden entries without an unlock requirement in the supplied catalog. Mods, temporary effects and extra activations can change the path. This is a worked example, not a live-save calculator.
Spindown Dice rules and unlockCount before stepping
The center activates once. Its one-to-six-pip effect is not the same lookup as the number in a handheld die's name. One and six can replace your build; five restarts the floor.
Dice-marked double lock

1 pip
Replaces your current build.
2 pips
Does not reroll your held items.
3 pips
Excludes Devil, Angel, Black Market, and Crawl Space areas.
4 pips
Excludes Devil, Angel, Black Market, Crawl Space, and Library areas.
5 pips
Changes the floor and its unfinished opportunities.
6 pips
Rerolls your build and much of the floor.
Rerolling an Angel Key Piece can trade a route resource for another reward. Preserve both pieces if you still need the standard Mega Satan key. Under Curse of the Blind, the result can remain hidden, so another roll does not guarantee you can judge it.
