Azazel:
Flight and short beam positioning

Learn Azazel's short charged beam, use flight for positioning and see why a Black Heart start does not forbid red containers.

Understand the system

Charge from a safe position, then move within beam reach.

Short beam, deliberate release

Azazel has an innate short Brimstone attack. Hold fire to charge, then release toward an enemy within its reach. The Brimstone item icon identifies the related attack; it is not a held starting collectible.

Flight supplies more paths

Ordinary Azazel can cross pits and rocks with flight. Use those paths to reposition while charging, but keep dodging enemies and projectiles. Optional Birthright widens the beam rather than supplying full-room reach.

Black health is only the start

Azazel starts with Black Hearts but can gain Red Heart containers. An ordinary Breakfast adds a filled container. Once red capacity exists, red healing has somewhere to go.

Brimstone is an attack reference, not a starting held item. Breakfast is a hypothetical find; Birthright is optional. Examples exclude attack replacements, health modifiers and capacity limits.

What changes after this action?

These are fixed teaching examples with stated conditions. Choose an action and compare what you have before and after it.

Azazel

Fully charge and release at a nearby enemy

Before

Ordinary Azazel; innate attack; enemy within short beam reach; no weapon modifiers

After

Short Brimstone beam fires toward the nearby enemy

Charge and release govern the attack.

Check before acting: Keep room to retreat after the close approach.

Brimstone is an attack reference, not a starting held item. Breakfast is a hypothetical find; Birthright is optional. Examples exclude attack replacements, health modifiers and capacity limits.

This reference does not read your save, calculate a crafting recipe or simulate an arbitrary inventory, health bar, queue or combat state.

Before the next action

  1. Leave a retreat path before closing the distance. Charge while moving through space you have checked for hazards.
  2. Aim the release where the enemy will be. If the target is outside reach, reposition before committing to another close pass.
  3. Inspect new health capacity after a health-up item. Budget healing and deal costs from the resulting bar.
