Tainted Azazel:
Sneeze, curse and beam

Use the charging sneeze to curse nearby enemies, follow with the thin beam and remember that you start without flight.

Understand the system

Connect the short attack to the long one.

Charging begins with a sneeze

With the sneeze ready, starting a beam charge also triggers the short-range sneeze. Tainted Azazel does not use the standalone Hemoptysis item's double-tap control for this innate attack.

Curse before the beam

The sneeze can apply a temporary Brimstone curse to an enemy it hits. Your thin beam benefits against that cursed target. A sneeze that misses does not grant this target-specific benefit.

No starting flight

Tainted Azazel has clipped wings and starts without flight. Pits remain a movement barrier until another effect grants flight, even though the beam can attack across them.

What changes after this action?

These are fixed teaching examples with stated conditions. Choose an action and compare what you have before and after it.

Tainted Azazel

Start charging beside an enemy

Before

Innate sneeze ready; an ordinary enemy inside sneeze range

After

Enemy cursed; a following beam can benefit

The charging sneeze hits the nearby enemy and applies the temporary curse. Follow through while it lasts.

Check before acting: Check distance and enemy movement before approaching.

This reference does not read your save, calculate a crafting recipe or simulate an arbitrary inventory, health bar, queue or combat state.

Before the next action

  1. Check the approach before charging. Move close enough for the sneeze only when the enemy pattern leaves a safe opening.
  2. Once the sneeze connects, keep the enemy in the beam line while finishing the charge. Avoid forcing a close-range hit into contact damage.
  3. Use safe ground to reposition. Recheck whether you actually gained flight before trying to cross a pit.
