How to fight Chub
Chub roams in straight lanes, charges when lined up with Isaac, and spawns smaller Chargers.
Normal boss behavior in Repentance. Champion variants can change these patterns.
Before entering
Leave a sideways exit whenever you line up to shoot. A spare bomb gives you another option during a charge.
- 1
Aligned charge
Watch for: Chub charges when Isaac is directly above, below, or beside her.
Try: Step out of that row or column as the charge begins, then reposition to shoot again.
- 2
Charger adds
Watch for: Smaller Chargers compete for the same open lanes while Chub continues moving.
Try: Clear the ones nearest your dodge route and keep Chub's head in view.
- 3
Bomb in her path
Watch for: Chub can swallow a bomb placed in her path, briefly stopping before it damages her.
Try: If you have a bomb to spare, place it in the charge lane and immediately dodge aside; do not stand there waiting.
