Tainted Lilith:
Launch, hold and recall

Choose between a fetus launch and sustained fire, then recall it to prepare the next launch.

Understand the system

Aim from the fetus, dodge with the body.

Launch when you press fire

Tainted Lilith attacks by launching her tethered fetus. The outward strike can hit enemies on its path. The character does not fire ordinary tears directly from her own body.

Hold for tears from the fetus

Keeping fire held leaves the fetus extended so it can shoot at nearby enemies. Its position is the tear origin. Obstacles and your own movement can change the useful angle.

Release to bring it back

Stopping fire recalls the fetus. Once it returns, another press can start a fresh launch. Repeated launches and sustained tears are separate choices, not interchangeable timing.

Gello is a related collectible reference. Tainted Lilith has the fetal attack innately and does not start with the Gello active item. Standalone item damage multipliers are not used here.

What changes after this action?

These are fixed teaching examples with stated conditions. Choose an action and compare what you have before and after it.

Tainted Lilith

Press fire with the fetus recalled

Before

Fetus inside Lilith; ordinary firing behavior; enemy on the launch path

After

Fetus launches; outward strike can hit

The attack begins with the outward launch. A hit depends on the enemy actually intersecting that path.

Check before acting: Line up the path without walking your body into contact damage.

Gello is a related collectible reference. Tainted Lilith has the fetal attack innately and does not start with the Gello active item. Standalone item damage multipliers are not used here.

Before the next action

  1. Before the first launch, line up an enemy with the outward path and leave your body a safe route to move.
  2. Hold fire when the extended fetus has a useful firing position. Watch your body for incoming shots while judging the separate tear origin.
  3. Release and let the fetus return when you want another launch. Practice the rhythm in an open room before relying on it around obstacles.
