How to fight The Bloat
The Bloat punishes standing below or beside him with fast lasers while bouncing eyes and creep restrict movement.
Normal boss behavior in Repentance. Champion variants can change these patterns.
Before entering
Prefer space above the boss when you can reach it safely. That avoids his side and downward lasers, but not his other attacks.
- 1
Side and downward lasers
Watch for: Brimstone beams fire almost immediately to the sides or downward. The Bloat cannot fire them upward.
Try: Avoid those lines before the attack starts. Move toward an open area above him without crossing through his body.
- 2
Bouncing eyes
Watch for: Detached eyes bounce diagonally, block tears, and deal contact damage.
Try: Watch their paths while aiming at the boss; do not chase an eye to try to clear it with ordinary tears.
- 3
Jump and creep
Watch for: Jumps release projectile rings, and puddles of red creep cover the floor.
Try: Give his landing space room and choose a dodge that avoids both the ring and the creep.
