A flexible route through the first 10 million GP

These bank values are navigation markers, not strict requirements. Move forward whenever your levels and unlocks support a better method, even when your cash stack is lower than the number shown.

0 to 1M

Build operating cash

Use ultracompost, nails, jewelry, herb cleaning, or relaxed gathering. Start herb and birdhouse runs as soon as their quests and levels are practical.

1M to 3M

Train useful skills

Move into Varlamore Thieving, early Slayer, teleport tablets, drift nets, Tempoross, or the first Blast Furnace setups.

3M to 6M

Use stronger unlocks

Lean on Blast Furnace, Runecrafting, Barrows, implings, or capital-scaled processing while recurring runs continue in the background.

6M to 10M

Continue what works

A good Stage 3 method can carry the account further. Chest opening and larger market loops are optional, not mandatory upgrades.

Protect your progress

Avoid losing more than a method can earn

Scams, oversized market positions, unnecessary Wilderness risk, and chasing a bond with weak methods can cost more than several productive sessions.

Test market methods

Confirm the realistic buy and sell prices before purchasing an hour of supplies or expensive keys.

Keep operating cash

Do not tie the whole bank to one processing method, slow offer, kingdom coffer, or rare-drop strategy.

Bank Wilderness loot

Zombie pirates, Revenants, and Wilderness Agility are optional branches. Leave before carried loot becomes painful to lose.

Frequently asked questions

Early-game money-making questions

What should a new member do for money first?

Use a low-requirement starter such as ultracompost, nails, jewelry, or cleaning herbs, but begin herb and birdhouse runs as soon as practical. Those recurring activities keep producing value while the account quests and trains.

What is the best early-game method for account progression?

Blast Furnace is one of the strongest all-around choices because it combines reliable output with valuable Smithing experience. Herb runs, birdhouses, Slayer, Tempoross, Varlamore Thieving, and Barrows are also excellent because they improve the account while earning.

When should I stop using an early-game money maker?

Stop when you can afford the quest, training, transport, or equipment goal that motivated the grind, or when a newly unlocked method provides better account progression. Early methods are stepping stones rather than permanent careers.

Should a new account sustain membership with bonds?

Usually not. Early methods earn far less than developed-account PvM and skilling, so repeatedly buying bonds can consume most of the player's game time and prevent useful reinvestment into quests, skills, and equipment.
