Shared melee overview

Train Attack, Strength, and Defence together

All three skills use many of the same quests, monsters, equipment sets, Slayer tasks, minigames, and bosses. Use this overview to choose the right priority, then open the individual guide for skill-specific routes.

General priority
1

Reach the Attack level for your next important weapon

2

Train Strength ahead when the target has low defence

3

Raise Defence for armour, Defenders, and survivability

This priority assumes a low-defence training target. High-defence bosses can make additional Attack levels and the correct stab, slash, or crush weapon much more valuable.

Accuracy and weapons

Attack

Attack improves melee accuracy and unlocks stronger weapons. Train it to the next useful weapon requirement, then let Strength lead on low-defence targets.

  1. 1Complete Waterfall Quest and early Attack quests
  2. 2Use Brutus or Gemstone Crab for early levels
  3. 3Learn Scurrius
  4. 4Move to Sulphur Naguas
