Combine two full stacks of Rags to craft an Improvised Rope.

1. Collect 12 Rags total.
2. Split them into two stacks of 6 Rags.
3. Combine one stack with the other.
4. Craft Rope.
5. Use the Rope for fishing, backpacks, base kits, or restraints.

Use a Knife on Guts to craft Rope.

1. Get Guts from an animal or survivor.
2. Find a Knife or another supported sharp tool.
3. Combine the Knife with the Guts.
4. Craft Rope.
5. Wash your hands after handling guts if needed.

Combine Rope with a Burlap Sack to craft a basic improvised bag.

1. Find Rope.
2. Find a Burlap Sack.
3. Combine the Rope with the Burlap Sack.
4. Craft the Burlap Courier Bag.
5. Upgrade it with Short Sticks if you want a Burlap Backpack.

Combine Rope with a Long Wooden Stick to craft a Simple Fishing Rod.

1. Find or cut a Long Wooden Stick.
2. Find or craft Rope.
3. Combine the Rope with the Long Wooden Stick.
4. Craft the Simple Fishing Rod.
5. Attach a hook and bait to start fishing.

Use Rope with Short Sticks to craft a Fence Kit for base building.

1. Collect Rope.
2. Collect Short Sticks.
3. Combine the materials.
4. Craft the Fence Kit.
5. Place the kit where you want to begin building a fence.

Rope can be used as a restraint item, similar to Handcuffs.

1. Hold Rope in your hands.
2. Use it on another player when the action is available.
3. The restrained player will have limited ability to resist or use items.
4. The restraint can be removed by cutting it with a sharp object such as a Knife.
