Goal first
Do not farm randomly
The main resin rule
Resin should move your account toward a real goal. If you do not know what you are farming for, stop and check your characters, weapons, talents, inventory, and upcoming plans before spending it.
Core rules
How to Stop Wasting Resin
These rules apply to beginners, F2P players, returning players, and veterans. The details change, but the logic stays the same.
Do not let resin cap
If Original Resin sits capped, regeneration stops. Spend it or condense it before long sessions, sleep, work, or school.
Guaranteed upgrades first
Levels, weapons, talents, boss drops, Mora, and EXP give predictable progress. Artifact domains are RNG and should usually come later.
Match resin to your goal
Building a character, preparing a weapon, fixing talents, and farming artifacts are different goals. Pick one before spending resin.
Do not pre-farm risky materials
Avoid spending resin on characters, weapons, or boss drops you are not guaranteed to use unless the materials are useful elsewhere.
Priority order
F2P Resin Priority
When in doubt, follow this order: character ascension, talents, weapons, Mora/EXP if needed, and artifacts last.
World Bosses
Character ascension boss materials
Farm these when a character cannot ascend. Boss drops are required progress and should usually come before artifact min-maxing.
Talent Domains
Talent books
Talents are reliable damage or utility upgrades. Farm books for characters you actually use, especially key skills and bursts.
Weapon Domains
Weapon ascension materials
Weapon levels are one of the cleanest ways to improve a character. Farm materials for weapons you already own and plan to use.
Ley Lines
Mora or character EXP books
Use ley lines when you are truly low. Check events, exploration, teapot, quests, Battle Pass, and inventory rewards first.
Weekly Bosses
High-level talent materials and extra drops
Do targeted weekly bosses, especially the discounted claims and bosses tied to characters you are building.
Artifact Domains
Artifact sets and substat upgrades
Artifacts are important, but they are RNG. Farm them seriously after your character, weapon, and talents are already functional.
Enhancement Ore With Resin
Weapon EXP ore
This is usually poor value. Use mining, expeditions, Battle Pass, events, teapot, and normal forging instead.
Decision guide
What Should You Spend Resin on Today?
Pick the card that matches your account right now. This prevents random farming and keeps your Resin connected to a clear upgrade.
I pulled a new character
World bosses, talent books, EXP books, Mora
Ascension and talents unlock the character's actual power. Artifacts can wait until the character is usable.
My character feels weak
Weapon materials and talent books
An underleveled weapon or low talents can make even good artifacts feel bad.
I cannot ascend
World boss materials
A character stuck below their next ascension is hard-capped. Boss drops fix that directly.
I am broke
Mora ley lines, but check free sources first
Mora is needed everywhere, but events, quests, sigils, teapot, and Battle Pass may cover part of the need.
I am out of EXP books
EXP ley lines, teapot, events, and exploration
Hero's Wit is universal. It is safe to farm when you truly need it, but resin-free sources help a lot.
My character is already functional
Artifacts
Once levels, weapon, and important talents are handled, artifacts become the main long-term improvement path.
Account stage
Resin Priority by Progression Stage
A new account, an AR45 account, and a veteran account should not use Resin the exact same way.
Brand New / Early Game
Learn the system, avoid wasting resin.
- Use resin enough that it does not sit capped.
- Use ley lines only when you actually need EXP books.
- Avoid serious artifact domain farming.
- Level your main team and weapons first.
- Do not over-farm low-tier domains if a better reward tier unlocks soon.
Before AR45
Focus on reliable account power.
- Farm world bosses when your main team needs ascension.
- Farm weapon materials for weapons you already use.
- Farm talent books as needed.
- Use free artifacts from exploration, bosses, and rewards.
- Save Fragile Resin unless you have a specific need.
AR45+ / Midgame
Artifact farming becomes more reasonable.
- Build characters to around level 80 or higher first.
- Raise important talents before chasing perfect artifacts.
- Start farming artifact domains when guaranteed upgrades are handled.
- Use Condensed Resin for domains when you want to save time.
- Plan your week around talent and weapon material availability.
Veteran / Endgame
Optimize events, resets, and resin value.
- Use double-drop events whenever they are active.
- Farm artifacts during high-value artifact windows if available.
- Do targeted weekly bosses for future talent materials.
- Use teapot rewards and resin-value systems consistently.
- Spend Fragile Resin only when the timing is actually worth it.
Level first
Do This Before Artifact Farming
Good artifacts cannot fully fix an underleveled character. Before spending weeks in artifact domains, make sure the character is actually functional.
Artifact warning
Why Artifacts Come Last
Artifact farming has multiple layers of RNG: set, slot, main stat, substats, and roll upgrades. It is important later, but it is often the biggest resin trap for players who still need guaranteed upgrades.
Pre-farming
Safe vs Risky Pre-Farming
Pre-farming is great when it saves time without risking Resin. It is bad when you spend Resin on something you might never use.
Safer Pre-Farming
- Enemy drops and mob materials
- Local specialties you can collect without resin
- Talent books shared by characters you already use
- Weapon materials for weapons you already own
- Mora or EXP books when you are truly low
- Weekly boss drops for characters you definitely plan to build
Risky Pre-Farming
- Boss drops for a character you are not guaranteed to pull
- Weapon materials for a gacha weapon you do not own
- Artifacts for a character you may skip
- Huge talent book stockpiles for a character you might not get
- Low-tier domain farming right before a better tier unlocks
- Fragile Resin spent on random artifact farming with no plan
Free value first
Check These Before Spending Resin
Mora, EXP books, talent materials, and artifacts often come from non-resin sources. Check these before defaulting to ley lines or domains.
Events
Often give Mora, EXP books, talent materials, weapon materials, and Primogems.
Exploration
Chests, quests, sigils, Oculi rewards, and regional systems can reduce resin pressure.
Serenitea Pot
Realm Depot rewards can help with EXP, Mora, artifact EXP, and Transient Resin.
Battle Pass
Even the free track can provide useful materials over time.
Condensed Resin
Saves Time, Not Resin
Condensed Resin is best used when you want fewer domain or ley line runs. It stores Resin and lets you claim larger rewards in fewer clears, but it does not magically create extra Resin.
- Use it when you are busy.
- Use it for domains and ley lines when allowed.
- Use it to avoid hitting resin cap.
- Do not treat it as extra resin.
Fragile Resin
Save It for Real Goals
Fragile Resin is best saved for moments where extra Resin creates immediate progress: building a new character, farming time-limited materials, catching up on talents or weapons, or using a strong farming event window.
Weekly planning
Plan Your Resin Week
Talent and weapon material domains can rotate by day, while bosses, ley lines, and artifacts are more flexible. Planning prevents random farming.
Resin value
Resin vs Resin Value
Resin is the actual resource. Resin value is extra progression from events and systems that reduce how much Resin you would otherwise need.
Natural Resin
The Resin that regenerates over time. This is the resource you want to avoid capping.
Event Value
Double-drop events and limited farming bonuses can make the same Resin produce better rewards.
Routine Value
Teapot rewards, Battle Pass, exploration, artifact routes, and inventory cleanup all reduce Resin pressure.
Avoid these
Common Resin Mistakes
Letting resin cap
Capped resin stops regenerating. This is the simplest way to lose progress over time.
Farming artifacts too early
Before the highest artifact domain level, artifact farming is usually low value compared to guaranteed upgrades.
Using Fragile Resin randomly
Fragile Resin is best saved for real goals, new characters, time-limited farming, or guaranteed materials.
Pre-farming uncertain characters
If you are not guaranteed to pull the character, resin boss drops can become dead inventory.
Ignoring your inventory
Before farming, check if you already have talent books, artifacts, Mora items, sigils, or EXP rewards waiting.
Thinking Condensed Resin is extra resin
Condensed Resin saves time and stores resin, but it does not create more resin by itself.
