DO THIS in Genshin Impact EVERY DAY!

A clean overview of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for players who want a structured routine.

Weekly

Bosses, gadgets, teapot, BP

Monthly

Shop, resets, cleanup

Do not turn Genshin into a chore list

The routine is split into must-do, good habit, and optional tasks. If you are short on time, only do the minimum. Optional farming routes are useful, but they should never make the game feel like work.

Routine Tiers

The best routine depends on how much time you have. These tiers keep the page useful for beginners, casual players, and veterans.

5 minutes

Minimum Daily Routine

For days when you are busy and just want to avoid wasting resin or missing easy rewards.

  • Check resin first.
  • Spend resin or condense it if you are close to cap.
  • Complete commissions or encounter point activities.
  • Claim the final daily reward from Katheryne.
  • Claim and resend expeditions.
  • Check if any event rewards are about to expire.
15-30 minutes

Normal Daily Routine

The best everyday balance for steady account progress without turning Genshin into a second job.

  • Spend resin toward one account goal.
  • Do commissions, events, or exploration for daily progress.
  • Claim Katheryne rewards and expeditions.
  • Check Battle Pass daily missions.
  • Check Serenitea Pot currency if unlocked.
  • Do a small amount of exploration, questing, or event progress.
30+ minutes

Optional Min-Max Routine

For players who want extra Mora, artifact EXP, enemy drops, ore, local legend drops, or completion progress.

  • Farm enemy material hotspots.
  • Kill ley line enemies without claiming resin rewards.
  • Do artifact investigation spots for artifact EXP or Mora.
  • Mine crystal ore if you are low on weapon EXP ore.
  • Farm local legends if your account can handle them.
  • Clean artifacts, inventory, or old quests when needed.

Short on time

Busy Day Routine

This is the version to follow when you only have a few minutes and do not want resin or daily rewards to slip away.

Step 1

Spend or condense resin.

Step 2

Complete commissions or encounter point progress.

Step 3

Claim Katheryne rewards and expeditions.

Step 4

Check event timers, then log out.

Every day

Daily Checklist

Do these first. They are the highest-value tasks because they prevent resin waste, keep daily Primogems flowing, and build passive resources over time.

Must do

Check resin before anything else

If resin is capped or close to capped, spend it or condense it before doing longer tasks. Resin is one of your most important time-gated resources.

Must do

Spend resin toward one goal

Choose a goal before farming: character ascension, talents, weapon materials, Mora, EXP books, or artifacts if your account is ready.

Must do

Do commissions or encounter points

Complete commissions directly, or use events, quests, exploration, and resin spending to fill encounter point progress.

Must do

Claim Katheryne rewards

Do not forget the final Adventurers' Guild reward after your daily progress is complete. That is where the daily Primogem reward is finished.

Good habit

Claim and resend expeditions

Use expeditions for passive Mora, ore, food materials, or regional resources. If you claim once per day, bonus reward characters are usually better than shorter timer characters.

Must do

Check limited-time events

Events should usually come before permanent content because they expire and often give Primogems, materials, Crowns, or free weapons/characters.

Good habit

Check Battle Pass dailies

Even the free Battle Pass gives useful resources. Claim progress as you go so you are not scrambling at the end of the patch.

Good habit

Check Serenitea Pot

If unlocked, claim realm currency and friendship EXP before they cap. You can also buy useful weekly items from the Realm Depot.

Optional

HoYoLAB daily check-in

This is a small optional bonus outside the game. It is not huge, but it adds free rewards over time.

Every week

Weekly Checklist

Weekly tasks are where your routine becomes goal-based. Pick what your account needs instead of doing every task blindly.

Must do

Choose this week's account goal

Before farming, decide who you are building. Check character level, weapon level, talents, artifacts, and required boss materials.

Must do

Do weekly bosses / Trounce Domains

Prioritize bosses that drop materials for characters you are building or planning to build. You do not need to do every weekly boss forever.

Good habit

Use the Parametric Transformer

Turn spare materials into useful rewards once per week. It is easy to forget, so keep it in your weekly checklist.

Good habit

Check the Crystalfly Trap

If unlocked, place it somewhere you already visit, like near a crafting bench or commission reward spot, so you remember to collect it.

Good habit

Buy and use Transient Resin

If you have the Serenitea Pot shop unlocked, buy Transient Resin only if you will actually use it before it expires.

Good habit

Check Battle Pass weeklies

Cooking, forging, bosses, spending Mora, and resin use can often clear weekly Battle Pass missions naturally.

Optional

Do reputation tasks if needed

Bounties and requests are useful until a region is maxed. After that, they are optional unless you still want the Mora.

Optional

Mine ore if you are low

Ore farming is more useful early and midgame. If expeditions keep you stocked, you can skip mining unless you need weapon EXP ore.

Resets & maintenance

Monthly / Reset Checklist

These are the tasks players forget because they are not part of the daily loop. They are great for long-term account health.

Must do

Buy monthly Stardust Fates

Check Paimon's Bargains for the monthly Stardust Intertwined Fates and Acquaint Fates if you have enough Stardust.

Good habit

Check Starglitter character rotation

Some strong 4-star characters rotate through the shop. Newer accounts should check if a useful character or constellation is available.

Good habit

Check Spiral Abyss rewards

Do not stress full clears early. Grab whatever rewards your account can realistically get before the reset.

Good habit

Check Imaginarium Theater

This mode rewards having more characters built. Beginners can ignore hard clears, but midgame and veteran accounts should check resets.

Good habit

Clean artifact inventory

Salvage or fodder bad pieces, review old locked artifacts, and clear space before your inventory becomes annoying to manage.

Optional

Check inventory for unclaimed rewards

Look for sigils, Oculi, boxes, furnishing blueprints, archive items, and rewards you forgot to turn in.

Optional

Clear small quests

Knock out short world quests that clutter your quest menu so future story and event content is less annoying to start.

Optional

Restock food ingredients

If you cook often or use the NRE gadget, do a quick grocery run or cooking session once in a while.

Optional extras

Extra Farming Ideas

These are helpful when you need specific resources, but they should not be treated as mandatory daily chores.

Crystalflies

Useful if you often craft Condensed Resin.

Enemy material hotspots

Good when building characters that need specific drops.

Ley line enemies

Kill enemies without claiming rewards if you only need drops.

Artifact investigations

Optional artifact EXP or Mora without spending resin.

Mining

Helpful when low on Mystic Enhancement Ore.

Local legends

Better for stronger accounts or co-op farming.

Account stage

Beginner vs Veteran Priorities

The same checklist should not apply equally to every account. Use your account stage to decide which tasks actually matter.

Beginner

Keep it simple. Your goal is not to optimize every system yet.

  • Do story and exploration.
  • Spend resin on bosses, Mora, EXP, weapons, and talents.
  • Avoid heavy artifact farming early.
  • Do events you can access.
  • Build one stable team first.

Midgame

Start planning resin around characters, weapons, talents, and early endgame teams.

  • Pick weekly character goals.
  • Farm weekly bosses you actually need.
  • Start artifact farming when worthwhile.
  • Work on two teams for Spiral Abyss.
  • Keep Battle Pass and teapot rewards moving.

Veteran

Most of your routine becomes reset tracking, resource maintenance, and optional min-maxing.

  • Track Abyss, Theater, and other reset rewards.
  • Clean artifacts regularly.
  • Use optional farming only when needed.
  • Pre-farm future characters carefully.
  • Skip tasks that no longer benefit your account.

Safe to skip

What You Do Not Need Every Day

  • Long farming routes when you are burned out.
  • Reputation tasks in regions you already maxed, unless you still want the Mora.
  • Artifact investigation routes if you do not need artifact EXP or Mora.
  • Mining if expeditions already keep your ore stocked.
  • Local legends if your account is too weak or the drops are not needed.
  • Burning Fragile Resin just because you have it.

Resin rule

Guaranteed Upgrades First

When you are unsure what to farm, prioritize upgrades that are guaranteed to improve your account: character ascension, weapon ascension, talents, Mora, and EXP books. Artifact farming is valuable, but it is RNG-heavy, so it should usually come after the guaranteed upgrades your current team still needs.

Guaranteed progress

Bosses, talents, weapons, Mora, and EXP.

RNG progress

Artifact domains and substat min-maxing.
