Collection strategy
Farm systems, not isolated items
The most efficient resource runs combine several materials in one resetting Portal World, then convert the haul through salvaging, traders or crafting stations. Save facility-only loot for emergencies and build renewable loops first.
Portal resets
Repeat Flathill, The Train and other Portal Worlds after their server reset.
Salvage value
Briefcases, Fire Extinguishers, robot CPUs and furniture can be worth more after processing.
Conversion chains
Turn renewable crops, enemy drops and scrap into harder-to-find components.

Passive duplication
Use the North Pole Wishing Shelf
The shelf accepts three compatible resource types and produces output when the North Pole resets. The input stack size does not increase the result, and occupied output slots prevent the next cycle.
Bulk multipliers
Excellent for Tech Scrap, Staplers, Silver Scrap, Reservoir Growth, Black Gunk and other supported materials.
One-for-one items
CPUs, Power Cells, Night Essence, Neutrino Mappers and several rare components duplicate one at a time.
Before reset
Empty every stocking output slot and leave one valid input in each shelf slot.
The efficient resource loop
Run Flathill and The Train after resets, salvage the haul at base, complete your trader conversions, then use targeted portals for whichever alien or endgame component is blocking your next build. Deposit the hardest compatible items in the Wishing Shelf before leaving North Pole.
Loot, trader exchanges and Portal World reset timing can change with updates or server settings. “Best source” favors repeatability and bulk efficiency rather than the earliest possible pickup.
