Portal basics

Why Portal Worlds matter

Portal Worlds are separate locations used for story progression, renewable resources, unique encounters and protected bases. Facility loot usually does not replenish by default, making reset Portal Worlds the backbone of long-term material farming.

Reset cycle

Portal Worlds reset on the server schedule. The default is twice weekly, but hosts can change it.

Renewable loot

Containers, enemies and loose resources return after a reset. Remove anything you want to keep.

Base warning

Ordinary Portal Worlds reset, so do not build permanent bases inside them. Use designated Home Worlds instead.

Reset timing follows server settings. Watch the in-game chat notification rather than relying on a fixed real-world timer.

Field checklist

What to carry through a portal

Loadouts change by biome, but these items solve the most common Portal World failures.

Two damage types

Carry sharp and blunt options for changing resistances.

Food and water

Bring enough for the route and leave capacity for unique loot.

Personal Teleporter

An emergency exit can save rare items and avoids some puzzle escapes.

Beacon or notes

Mark facility-side entrances and remember each reset farm.

Mycofields

Heat protection or Fire Proximity Suit.

Voussoir / Royal Range

Cold resistance, warming food and spare healing.

Canaan / Praetorium

Strong armor, ammunition, medical supplies and an escape plan.

Repeat farming

Best worlds to revisit after resets

Prioritize worlds that solve an active bottleneck instead of clearing every destination each cycle.

Food and agriculture

Far Garden for Anteverse Wheat, Flathill for MREs and seeds, Canaan for late-game crops.

Industrial materials

The Train for Silver and batteries, Mycofields for alien crafting materials.

Furniture and appliances

Furniture Store for decorations, refrigerators and reusable base furnishings.

Fishing materials

Far Garden, Flathill, Night Realm and Some Distant Shore support distinct catches.

Best overall destinations

Flathill is the standout early world for atmosphere and renewable supplies. Canaan is the strongest large-scale exploration world, while The Praetorium provides the most intense endgame combat. For a base, use Torii, Winter Cabin or another designated Home World instead of a resetting story dimension.

Portal availability, reset schedules and loot can change with game updates or server settings. Letter grades are Bamboo Gaming recommendations based on resource value, exploration, atmosphere and replay usefulness.
