Quality of Life Changes
The main player-facing improvement in Patch 1.0.6.0 is expanded task search support.
Search Tasks by Name
You can now search for tasks directly by name on the side task and operational task screens.
Search by Objective
Task search also works with objective text, which should help when you remember what you need to do but not the exact task name.
Search by Location
Location-based search makes it easier to filter tasks tied to specific maps or areas.
Search by Trader
You can also search by Trader, making task cleanup and progression planning more convenient.
Bug Fixes
Patch 1.0.6.0 includes fixes for weapon overheating, floating weapons, incorrect audio, UI issues, and MSGL animation behavior.
Weapon Fixes
Weapons should no longer overheat too quickly on Streets of Tarkov in certain cases, and weapons should no longer remain suspended in midair after some player deaths.
Audio & UI Cleanup
The update fixes incorrect female voice audio in The Lab, incorrect medium-range gunshot audio, and several UI issues on the Character and Weapon Builds screens.
MSGL Animation Fix
The MSGL grenade launcher receives a fix for an incorrect cylinder animation that could happen in certain cases.

Patch 1.0.6.0 is a smaller technical and quality-of-life update. The main purpose is to prepare Escape from Tarkov for the upcoming Expansion Hub while adding task search improvements and fixing several issues related to weapon behavior, audio, UI, and animations.
