Survive the Trial.

Explore Killers, Survivors, Perks, builds, Realms, objectives, chase strategy, progression, alternate modes, and current guidance for both sides of the Trial.

Choose your side

Gather at the fire or answer the Entity.

The standard Trial pits four cooperative Survivors against one solo Killer. Each side has a different objective, information model, loadout, and path to improvement.

Summer Screams changes the rules.

Temporary modes belong in a live briefing so their special loadouts, objectives, and availability never become confused with the standard Trial.

Learn the objective before the loadout.

Perks can support good choices, but they cannot replace camera control, route planning, sound awareness, objective timing, or knowing when to abandon a bad position.

Beginner case file

Five decisions shape the escape.

Start with the Survivor flow, then play Killer to understand the pressure and information the other side experiences.

Choose how you create fear and pressure.

Every Killer has a unique power. Start with the decisions and mechanical demands you enjoy, then learn how that power changes pathing, information, and chase rules.

Discover Survivors through their Perks.

Survivors share the same base capabilities, so character discovery centers on teachable Perks, theme, appearance, and the playstyles those Perks encourage.

Campfire records

A character begins the build, not the limit.

Progress characters to unlock broader Perk access, then build around the job your team needs and the situations you want to practice.

Chase and looping academy

Read the tile from both sides.

Survivors connect safe resources while preserving distance. Killers identify the tile, hide intent, force resources, cut exits, and leave chases that cost too much time.

Maps and Realms

Learn landmarks, then learn the generated space.

Realm identity, main buildings, indoor routes, common tiles, visibility, and map size all affect the Trial. Not every tile or object appears in the same place every match.

Realm observation

Connect landmarks to playable resources.

Track generators, completed areas, pallets, windows, dead zones, Hooks, Totems, and possible endgame routes.

Trial strategy

Create pressure, or survive it.

Both sides win by converting time. Survivor efficiency spreads objective progress and protects Hook states; Killer efficiency turns injuries, chases, Hooks, and defended generators into compounding pressure.
